The Bereavement Luncheon Ministry's function is to provide a meal for family and friends of the deceased following the final good-byes to their loved one. This allows all to gather and spend time together without the worry of providing lunch for guests.  Meals are served to assure no burden is placed on those who grieve. All meals are prepared on sight, made from our own family recipes, and served in a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.

The families of the deceased are encouraged to "pay-it-forward" by making a donation to the committee for the luncheon, so the ministry may continue to the next family in need.

The St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Bereavement Luncheon Ministry provides the main meal. Parishioners provide an array of baked goods, salads, and side dishes to accompany the meal.

If you would like to be on our call list for baked goods, salads, and side dishes, please contact Rita Lovering or Cathy McManus.

Volunteers Are Needed To...
1. Assist within a group, as the need arises, to prepare food (a casserole, a salad, or a dessert).
2. Set up for a funeral brunch/lunch.
3. Serve and clean up after the brunch/lunch.
